The Day I Discovered Sports Wrap For Ankles
It’s not easy being a school baseball coach, especially for kids who are new to baseball and want to take up the sport. I have been a coach since the early 2000s, and sometimes the job takes a toll on my old body, which turned 50 just a week ago.
Nevertheless, I love the job, along with teaching the kids and coaching future baseball stars. I start my day at 6 in the morning, overlooking extensive training, followed by a light game. I later follow it up in the evening with another training schedule and a quick game to observe the boys.
I had an old cotton pad that I always used to keep with me, for I get random joint pains now and then. It doesn’t work very well, but it’s reliable, so I never used anything else.
Not until yesterday.
I jogged up to my usual pharmacist to replenish my stocks, and he coolly declared that he no longer keeps them. As I was gaping up at him for such a drastic business decision, he handed me a pair of sports wrap for ankles, told me that I’m due for an upgrade, and followed by a short demo on how to use it. Sure, it was a bit expensive, but he told me it was reusable, so I decided to give it a try.
The following evening, as if on cue, I sprained my ankle during practice and decided to put my newest acquisition to use. I was delighted how it fit my ankles like a sock, cushioning the sprain quickly. I stretched my leg and made myself comfortable on a bench, watching the boys as they ran around, playing.
I lost the track of time, right until the time it was a wrap. The boys packed up and left, and I walked to my place to pick up my belongings. It was then I realized that I still had that sports wrap on, and the pain was already gone!
Long story short, I was blown away by its effectiveness. I made mental note to get some more later, and to stick to those for the foreseeable future.
